SQL SERVER 2005 was running perfectly fine in SQL SERVER Authentication mode. But yesterday I made a System Restore in my system and since then when I try to connect SQL SERVER it gives an error:
"A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)"

I searched forums, did many things like; Went to Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections->Database Engine->Services and clicked on Start but then it gives error:
" The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion, you need administrator privileges to be able to start/stop this service. (SQLSAC)"
Then I went to SQL Configuration Manager->SQL Server 2005 Services and tried to make SQL SERVER(SQLEXPRESS) to running state, but then again it gives a new error :
"The request failed or the service did not respond in timely fashion.Consult the event log or other applicable error logs for details"
WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW??? I'm STUCK ..PLEASE HELP SOMEONE.
