| Dear all,I am new to SQL via my use of a program called CaseLogistix (CLX) which allows for advanced searching using constructed SQL searches. I have little familiarity with the language and syntax, so herein I will let you know what it is I wish to accomplish, and if any of you know a way it could be done, I would be grateful.Within this program there is a table of values under various column headings, or fields. Many of these fields have to do with numbering, for instance with a prefix plus numbers (EN0000001). Searches can be saved, so in a lot of instances the best way to find a series of numbered documents would be to search for all the numbers at once (EN0000001, EN0000002, etc.) and have them come up in the results. I tried the following:[Field Name] IN @Prompt(Insert Value)@But it didn't work at all. A LIKE search works, but only for one number at a time the way I did it with this prompt setup. I looked around online and saw there are ways to configure the prompt to take multiple values at a time (something with 'A',,,multi, free but it did not work as written and I did not understand the language/syntax).I want to learn and I also want to find a script for running the search this way, because if I can set up such a prompted search for each relevant field, users could simply type or paste their list of relevant alphanumeric IDs into the prompt box and not worry about any advanced language (using a series of OR joiners in the advanced view, etc.).Can anyone help? I will check back and provide more information wherever possible. |

| I too am trying to devise a similar search. I have a column listing alphanumeric values that I want to select multiple values from at once. I am also doing this in a specific SQL environment that allows for prompted queries that, as far as I can tell, is similar to that of the OP. Any input would be much appreciated. |
