Hi,SqL Servder 2005 installed on E local drive. It is active/passive cluster. User databases are on SAN. After disaster, we will build standalone server. Network team will restore all drives with contents except C and SAN drives. We have default and named instances. My question is after network team will install windows, can we install default and named instances on E drive, where before disaster sql server was installed or it will conflict with existing files on E drive? Thanks |

This is client requirement. They are not ready to setup standby servers (mirroring/log shipping) know. They will build new servder after disaster. I have no choice. |
