I have a SQL Server 2008 developer's license. I use Visual Basic 2008 v9.0 for Reporting Services and SSIS packages, everything works fine. But now I would like to write a package which calls some Adobe Acrobat functionality using Visual Basic (I have the VB code). But I cannot add a reference to the Acrobat tlb. At first I thought this was just a template issue, since I cannot see any VB or C+ templates when creating a new VB project. But now I am coming to the conclusion that when I installed SQL Server 2008, it only installs BIDS components in Visual Basic, not VB or C+ components. Is this true? And if so, is it possible to add these to my Visual Studio installation? I'm hesitant to upgrade to VS2010 because I have many reports and SSIS packages in VS2008.Thanks in advance,Dave |
