| Hi i have an app that will allow a user to get documents from the document server. I have allowed the user to ask for multi docs by date or doc num. i therefore need to check on the server that the customerid matches. the uniqueness is not just customer id but a combo of customerid and company. document server: company: varchar 20 customerid: varchar 80the app server: customerid: FK int not null 4 company: PK FK char(50) not nullwe take the document id where? how do I make the correct sql here for company and customerid's? |

| You need to provide the date/doc num and company and customer id from the front end (probably) then use those to retrieve the document IDs.The details depend on the strcture of your databases.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
