Hi all,

am facing some sort of problem like tohaday in one server secondary file(.ndf) file is added it is approximately of 570 GB. After adding the secondary file there is a disc space issue in the drive the secondary file (.ndf) added and there is no free space left in that drive.

Can i shrink that database with out having the free space in the drive.?

can anyone help me out with this problem.

Give Second .Ndf file size less than your hard disk is free. Or move your Second .Ndf file to other drive.

Is there free space inside the secondary data file? If so, then yes you can shrink it.
