When previewing a report in BIDS, if I use the calendar date picker, it automatically swaps the date to US format as soon as I hit "View Report", resulting in either invalid parameters, or the "wrong" dates (eg 01/02/2011 would mean 2nd Jan, where I intend it to be 1st Feb). Instead, I have to manually type in the US format into the boxes instead, which is a workaround but it's annoying when my colleagues are able to easily use the calendar with no problems. Also, in layout mode, if I click the space around the report and look at the properties, it says the Language is English (United States). I'm not sure if it's due to the same issue and solving this automatically sorts the date picker problem. In Windows Control Panel Regional and Language settings, my location is UK.In BIDS/Visual Studio, my International Settings are set to "same as Windows".I have been through the registry and set all the regional/language settings that I can find to UK for Windows, SQL Server and Visual Studio. I have searched on the Internet for a solution, but have not found one yet. I know it can be solved, because I had this issue a year or 2 ago, but frustratingly, I can't remember what the fix was! Since then, I have had my PC formatted and rebuilt, so lost all the settings. |
