Hello,

I would like to rebuild (because of collation) master database (which is as I can see simple operation), but after that I would like to restore all (or almost all) objects in database (all my tables, logins, procedures, linked servers). Is it possible (after rebuilding master database) to simply restore model and msdb databases (as other databases?)
Is there any scripts which will speed up this operation?

Just so I can be clear - do you want to restore msdb as another database , with another name, so you can extract the data?

Hello,

I want to restore whole databases object on my server (not only msdb - I am only wondering if it is possible to rebuild master database and simply restore every object which exist on this server before this operation - as it was before this - so msdb will be msdb, model will be model).

Some people tell me that it will be much easier to backup whole database object, reinstall SQL Server 2000 and then restore it.
I am still not sure - is it possible and which way is faster (not complicated)?
