I have 4GB base on MSSQL2008 and i want to work faster . what is main hardware speed increaser :

CPU
RAM
HDDrive ( i aim at this so if im right what are main factor: access time, general disk write? read? speed or other ? ) is changing disk from some scsi disk for ssd( im thinking of sth like revo drive x2/x3) is good thing or have no sense?

sory for my english :)

Depends on what is limiting your speed.
Probably the design and coding is the main culprit.
Usually next is memory.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
SSIS can be used in a similar way.

this (what is limiting)i do not know. cpu usage about 5% so it seems that not cpu , very fast ram 3GB FREE of 6 GB so not this ( windows7/serw2008) but as i work i see that HD is working hard as i use delete statements so i thought that HD is main bottle neck ?

FOr a delete if there is not much of a where clause then it will just have to update the data - not much processing so you will just see disk activity.
The idea would be to not run such statements if it causes a problem or to change the system so it works on less data (or needs less i/o).
That's what I mean about design and coding.

If you need to run things like this then probably a faster disk subsystem would help - that probably includes multiple controllers, disks and suchlike. Faster disk access and parallel processing over multiple disks.

But you need to look at the system as a whole not a single statement - unless that is the statement that is causing all the trouble - then decide whether it can be done in another way or at another time before changing hardware.
