| 1) Write code so that it doesn't. Put a limit on it's size - usualy if something is using up a lot of tempdb space then it is using a lot of resources and slowing the server down - you want to stop it sooner than later so that the user tells you about an error rather than going home and forgetting about it.2) tempdb is rebuilt whenever the server restarts - so a restart should sort it out. Make sure it doesn't fill the disk and cause other problems though.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
