| Why did you want to move - was it just money and is that what the offer is about?Not a good thing to base career decisions on (unless it was a big difference).Things to think aboutWith a new company you can easily be let go unless you have something about it in the contract.A job is never what you thnk it's going to be.Why did your present company have to be forced into offering this and do they resent it. Could just be short term for them until they train someone else.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

| No it about my career.Here I got selected as MSSQL DBA but they put me in Development side due to no resource but now the new company profile is MSSQL DBA only.Today I went to meet my Current company manager he offered me more than my offer letter. So little struck. In Love... With Me! |

| No need to mention the offer.The text of the letter doesn't matter - but it doesn't hurt to be nice and point out that you don't have a problem with the compny like you have.All this is doing is starting the notice period - it will be put on file and that's all really.Just make sure it's what you want to do.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
