| We have DTS 2000 packages we've been executing remotely using xp_cmdshell in stored procedures in the master db. Last week we had to change the Administrator password and since then, the stored procedures have returned an OLE DB Provider error related to not finding the Data Source name and no default driver specified. Using the DSN for ODBC access via MS Access, etc works fine. The packages execute correctly when they are opened for modification and executed from the designer. Tried setting up a proxy for xp_cmdshell, passing user(/U) and password(/P) to dtsrun to no avail. Thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can provide. |

| If anyone is interested, we solved the problem by changing the Log On settings for MSSQLServer service(right click, Properties, select Log On tab). It was set to Local System account. We changed it to This account and entered domain\Administrator with the new Administrator password. |
