My Setup:
- HP G62 laptop with i3 processor and 4GB of RAM
- Windows 7 64-bit
- MS-SQL Server 2008 R2 (Express Editon)

Went to this website:

Downloaded and installed this file:
- AdventureWorks2008R2_SR1.exe

I ran the exe file, and then opened "Server Management Studio."
The databases seem to exist.

In the "Object Explorer" under "Databases" I can see the following:
- AdventureWorks
- AdventureWorksDW
- AdventureWorksDW2008R2
- AdventureWorksLT
- AdventureWorksLT2008R2

There seems to be colums within the databases.

But when I click "New Query" and enter the following:

USE AdventureWorks;
GO
SELECT * FROM HumanResources.Employee

And then I click that little green arrow, to execute:
I get this "Debugging query..." message, that just seems to hang.
I get no output.

You want to click the exclamation point to Execute, not debug. They changed the icon in SQL 2005, green arrow debugs.

Thank you. You would not believe how much trouble that was giving me.

That's why I remove that icon from the toolbar.
