I am using Access 2010, and want to use a single form control to populate two fields in a table?

The idea is, you enter a full name in the form separated ideally by only a space, just like a person's name would normally be written, and this populates both the first name and last name fields in a table.

I'm pretty sure this would have to be hard-coded. With one problem - I'm a straight beginner at SQL. Pretty tough for a first assignment eh!

Can anybody help?

This isn't really a SQL question... it would probably make better sense to split it in Access using VB... then fill the 2 fields on the bound form.

For example:

FullName field (unbound) -> OnChange Updates FirstName field (bound) and LastName field (bound)

How would I go about splitting it using VB? As you can see I'm very new to this...
