| Its not exactly clear what it is you want us to suggest, but if I understand you correctly, you want some advice on how to get started. The data will need to come from SQL Server Management Studio - so write some queries and convert them into Stored Procs. If you ticked the correct boxes during installation you'll also have installed BIDS (Business Intelligence Development Studio) - its a stripped down version of Visual Studio. This is where you build your reports. You'll need to set up your server connection properties in BIDS so when you deploy the report, it will be accessible from the Report Manager.Best advicse after that is to just experiment. See where it takes you.If you need more information on the basics of Reporting Services, you'd be best advised to get a good book, find a good online tutorial or even go on a Microsoft course. SSRS can be pretty deep and there's much more to it than can be explained here.Hope that helps.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------http://www.mannyroadend.co.uk The official unofficial website of Bury Football Clubhttp://www.hollowtreewebdesign.co.uk - a web design company in its infancy |
