Hi there, I'm still somewhat new to SQL, and most of my work has been querying in SSMS and copying results over to Excel to create charts, graphs, etc.Would using Reporting Services make this process less tedious and less prone to error? If so, can you recommend a book to get me started (and maybe a more advanced book after that)? I'm not an IT guy or programmer of any kind (except for my very basic knowledge of SQL) so it would have to explain EVERYTHING - I literally don't know what to do after I open the program!Thank you for your help! |

SQL Server Books Online has tutorials for all the components of SQL Server. Microsoft also publishes the Step By Step guides by Stacia Misner:http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft%C2%AE-Server%C2%AE-Reporting-Services-Microsoft/dp/0735626472You can also find Reporting Services tutorials and tricks via Google. |
