Hello everyone!

I'm quite new to SQL and .PHP, but still giving it a go to build a nice looking website.

Now... Here's my 'challenge':
I have a database. Currently it contains 2 tables. I am creating a tool for website users to find mining-sites (in a online game), specified to some criteria (type of mine, level of mine and distance).

The distance should be calculated by retrieving the players base-coordinates from table members (there would be a session open for that user, since he is logged-in) and then have the desired distance (+ or - from that base-location) deducted and echo-ed into the site.

Could some one advise me on the query for this?
If you would like to see the page:
http://swr.infiniteserve.com/swr2/mining/post_mining.php (please don't pay to much attention to the lay-out, as it is work in progress, lol)

So the user-data is stored in table <members> and the mining-sites stored in <mining>.
