The profile pic, like the signature tag line is from the TV show Babylon 5. The avatar is Marcus Cole, a Ranger, the tag line is part of the Ranger oath.

I used to have Qui-gon Jinn. The lightsabre kinda gave a hint that it wasn't a photo, but enough people thought it was that I just stopped caring.
