I intent to develop an application with no insert, no delete and no update. It's just VIEW the data like reporting

With
1. Visual Studio 2010
2. SQL Server 2008 Database Engine
3. SAP Crystal Report

I can achieve the above objective

I want to know, what's the significant features I can get if I'm using SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services?

Please help to digest the beauty of Analysis Services. As a result, I can make the decision wisely

Analysis Services is just data warehouse software. I can't tell from your brief description if you are intending to build a data warehouse or not. You'll need to provide more information.

If the data never changes, you never need to rebuild your cubes.

One (or more) less jobs to fail

Then just build your report.

Is contention (blocking) expected to be an issue?

Analysis Services allows you to fairly easliy build cubes which you can report against. But, you can always report against your OLTP data. Depends very much on what your requirements are. Sometimes it makes sense to replicate your OLTP data and report against that. Sometimes it makes sense to build a data warehouse for reporting purposes.

We don't have enoguh information to give you solid advice.
