| what is lenght when we define numeric data type precision & scale .for example id numeric(2,0) 2 is precision 0 is scale when select table and press alt+f1 then show lenght, precision & scale |

| It is telling you how many bytes are used for storing. This page has info on storage for decimal data type (which varies with precision) |
