copying a table from 2005 to 2008

Dear All,

I need to copy a few tables (3 numbers) from source source which is in SQL server 2005 to destination server 2008.

Could you pls help in any steps to do this.

you can use export import task. its wizard driven and you just need to map source and destination server database details and the tables to be copied

Eror: says both Source and destination having different version instance

are you trying it from 2005 box or 2008 box?

that wont work. try it from 2008 box as it will be backward compatible
