I have two transactional replication and one snapshot replication in my server(Publisher) SQL 2005. I am doing a migration to SQL 2008. Is there a way to take backup and restore the replication in SQL 2008. Current Setup=============Data in SQL 2005 ---> Replicating to --> SQL 2005After Migration===============Data in SQL 2008 ---> Replicating to --> SQL 2005 |

No. You should script it out and apply the scripts on new servers. |

You can script and migrate to the other databse as mentioned above ,also you can follow the MSDN tips from the Microsft site.Sr Sql server DBA/Artitech |
