Hi guys,
I am very new in this field, i am using Cisco unity server(voice mail server) which is running on SQL server 2000 platform.Now the capacity of my hard drive is going to fill.Especially one of the folder called data folder(contains .ldf file and .mdf files) which is almost fill in the drive.So i want to take backup of this folder as well make it free this drive.Suppose after take the backup of these files and if i delete this folder, it will affect the unity application???
Please can any one can suggest me about how to take backup of this drive and make it free space....

Some options:
1. move/delete some other files which are not required to create free space.
2. If possible, add new drive and move database files there.

Let me get this straight. You are planning on backing up the folder (not good as you need to backup the database) and then deleting it? Of course your application is going to have problems as you've whacked the database. Isn't the database required for your application?
