Is it only in vowels if so then I can have multiple replaces.. if not then I should use a table to do replace..quote: Originally posted by robvolk UPDATE myTable SET myColumn=REPLACE(myColumn,'ó','o')

Why do you need to remove the accent mark? Are you doing comparisons for search? You can specify an accent-insensitive collation to have it ignore them:-- accent-sensitiveselect case when'Universidad Tecnológica de Coahuila' COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_ASLIKE 'Universidad Tecnologica de Coahuila' COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_ASTHEN 'Yes' ELSE 'No' END-- accent-insensitiveselect case when'Universidad Tecnológica de Coahuila' COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AILIKE 'Universidad Tecnologica de Coahuila' COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AITHEN 'Yes' ELSE 'No' END |
