Hi,I use SQL Server 2008.I am a bit familiar with Database Mail. I configured it and made it work several times using SMTP Host. This time I have to use a MS Exchange server and I just can't make it work. I am not familiar with Exchange. I tried to put the exchange address as "Server name", the "E-mail address" is matching what I put in "SMTP Authentication" --> "Basic authentication" user name/password.But it is still not working. In the log I get an error similar to « The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. Cannot send mails to mail server. Mailbox unavailable”Is there something special that has to be configured on the SQL Server 2008 server? Do I have to install Outlook and create a profile directly on this server?Thank you for helping me.

What exchange server are you using? I have had issues in the past where you need to set the account on exchange to be a passthrough account.

I don't know. Its for one of my customer. I did not ask because I did not know I would have problem with this.He just provided me with the server name and credentials of an already working account on exchange.I'll ask him next week, I cant reach him this afternoon. If anyone has a specific idea of what it could be, let me know.
