I cannot find any documentation that it is not supported on windows 7 (unless it is data center edition).http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sqlsetupandupgrade/thread/4b91198e-239a-4a9b-8f57-a183e2552db7http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955725http://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=compatible%20operating%20system%20for%20sql%20server%202005&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CC8QFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.microsoft.com%2Fdownload%2F5%2F0%2Fe%2F50ec0a69-d69e-4962-b2c9-80bbad125641%2FRequirementsSQL2005.htm&ei=hainTuYFitWtB5TI1eQN&usg=AFQjCNFrUEg4r_AZK7PenUHJ6AIUv53MNg |

Which Edition of SQL Server 2005 are you installing ? If not mistaken, you can only install Developer edition on Home Premiumthis does not mention about Windows 7, but it should be same as Vistahttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506%28v=sql.90%29.aspx KH
Time is always against us
|
