| DBA typically has no role in this -- except maybe to setup the right service account for SQL Server. Depends on your company though.This is an obsolete way to have mixed environment of NT and Kerberos authentication.It's for using Windows authentication -- typically from iis to sql server.Here's another article worth a peek.Steps today are:1. Setup SQL Server service account as a domain user2. Set the SPN for that account/service3. Allow delegation for that account in Active DirectoryThose are the minumum requirements. If you're connecting from IIS, the same steps need to be taken for the IIS service account. |
