| For uni they want us to understand unstructured data, which is simple enough, but they want us to store and retrieve a sample document (pdf). Storing it is simple enough using FILESTREAM, but retrieving it is a pain. I know basic programming so would understand most what people would say on the matter, but would like to know if there is a sql server solution. Perhaps just sending the file to a specified location.I am very new to all this, so please be gentle. If you need to be blunt, so be it, even if its pointing me in the right direction would be fantastic.Thanks.Brian.------------------------------------------------Why is the grim reaper hated so much? whenever I say I'm death I don't get rocks thrown at me. |

| There are a few examples of retrieving the data from FILESTREAM on this page. scroll down to the section "Accessing FILESTREAM Data using TSQL". |
