Hello,

We have been asked by the auditors at PWC if we "capture abends to data processing/batch jobs".

Can this be done using SQL Profiler? We use SQL 2005 Ent.

Thank you,
Terry

That's an unusual phrase, but I suspect they are asking about failed jobs. We monitor our jobs via SCOM. You can easily add monitoring with other methods though, like PowerShell.

SQL Profiler isn't the right tool to monitor for failed jobs.

As always ... Thank you Tara.

I'm downloading SCOM 2012 RC now. I'll implement into production sometime 1st quarter next year.

Thanks again. You are always helpful and I appreciate it!!

Regards,
Terry
