| Hello Everyone,I am new to the SQL database environment and I am trying to develop a database to create Oracle tables using DDL with integrity constraints, etc. I searched the web looking for freeware for Windows 7 that is easy, user friendly, and ANSI 92 compliant that I can write and test the scripts. I found Toad for Oracle and MYSQL Commnunity Server products. Needless to say, when I downloaded the software, I was unable to get either of them to work properly because either, the button was grayed out to test the code for errors, or one or more files of the MSI installer was missing. Perhaps it's just user error because I don't know what I am doing. Can someone provide assistance and recommend which SQL product is good to use that will meet the requirements stated above for a beginner. Thank you in advance for your help! |

In these forums Oracle isn't a subject because we are on MS SQL Server. No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |

| Thank you for the response. Perhaps I am getting the two applications confused (Oracle & Sql). Can you recommend easy and user-friendly SQL freeware for beginners? Thanks |
