Hi, I'm fairly new to SQL, and I'm having problems upgrading an existing DB.

I have an application written in Visual Basic 6.0, that connects to a SQL db. I modified the db using SQL Server Management Studio 2008 to add a few fields and adapt the stored procedures, but when I try to run my VB6 app again I get a "SQL server not found or access denied" message.

A few things worth mentioning:
- The VB6 app is being run in a virtual XP Windows.
- XP is running SQL server 2000.
- SQL Studio is running in Windows 7.
- I copied the .mdb file to W7, attached it to SQL Studio, modified it, copied back to Virtual XP and re-started SQL service.
- File locations and names are being kept the same as original.

Anyone know what is happening? Any suggestions as to what I can do to test my new db to know what changed? How can I get the new connection string needed to connect to it?

Pardon me if the question is too vague =)
Thanks for any help!
