I have suddenly deleted a sql server databse file from Sql server management studio. and recovered it using a data recovery software. but now unable to open this database. the error is "aaa.mdf is not a primary database file error 5171". i need urgent solution plz. help me to solve this issue. it is very urgent |

Restore from backup is your first, best, option here. |

The file is corrupt. If there isn't a backup then you have to buy a recovery tool I think. No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |

Restore from backup, that file is damaged. I don't think I've ever seen a database file recovered with any file recovery tool being usable afterward.--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP |
