I see references to something called Terminal Server. For instance, is someone using Terminal Server (TS).

In layman terms, can someone please tell me what is Terminal Server?

TIA solart

Terminal Server is like PC Anywhere. It allows people to connect to that PC with the Terminal Services Client and they have their own instance of that PC. They can run programs, etc. It's just like they are sitting at the PC.

I use Terminal services at work to logon to different services remotely. You can find more info at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/en/server/help/default.asp?url=/windows2000/en/server/help/sag_termsrv_topnode.htm
