First thanks to anyone who can offer help :). I am working on a new server config for a client and hitting a wall. It 2008 r2 all updated. Working great. Trying to install SQL 2005. It gives the warning to isntall the SP3 after install. Problem is it wont complete a full install. Fails trying to start the sqlserver service. Tried a bunch of different accounts, various settings. I am sure i am just missing somthing????ThanksJosh |

The failing SQLServer Service is after the attempted SP3 install? If that is the case then something may have been corrupted. Confirm the install isn't labelled as 'installed' in add/remove programs.Steve |
