Hi All,

I am trying to fetch chinese text from database.
Database column type is NVARCHAR but i am unable to to pass NVARCHAR type value from my front end.
Here is my SP

ALTER Procedure [dbo].[Search]
(
@character nvarchar(50)
)
As
Begin

Select * From Chinese
Where Characters like @character
End

EXEC [Search] '??/?? Hànyu; ??/?? Huáyu; ?? Zhongwén'
this is return nothing

EXEC [Search] N'??/?? Hànyu; ??/?? Huáyu; ?? Zhongwén'
This return result set

Please help how i fetch the matched data if i can not pass NVARCHAR type parameter from front end

What do you mean by you can not pass NVARCHAR from the front end? Why not?

This is more a problem with your front end design by the sounds of it. Possibly find a forum using whatever technology you are using on your front end and find out how to pass chinese character sets through it.
