I have a database called FDB. I have created this database on my PC SQL Server Express and adding one table.
I made a backup of this database.

I copied this backup to the server and try to restore but get this message:

" the media family on device C:\Program File\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Bacup\FDB.bak is incorrectly formatted. SQL Server cannot process this media family. RESTORE Headeronly is terminating abnormally. Microsoft SQL Server error 3241)

are they different virgins Versions?

Least that's what Google says

I think what Brett's asking is if they are two different versions?
ie, is the instance that you took the backup on a higher version than the instance you're trying to restore on?
