| how do you test indexes when creating indexes in a table that resides in a 140GB takes forever?Because I have to create, test, drop, test again. |

| what do you mean by testing indexes? are you checking whether its getting used and whats the performance gain? then best way is to create a query that utilises the index and compare its execution time with and without the index------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |
