Hi,Thanks. How to handle a Backup - Restore from a LAN Netwok- sql server? My sql server is in my network. Whenever I want to take backup & Save the backup in same server [C-Drive or D-Drive] its working fine... But I want to take backup from my server and wish to save that backup file in my system, which is available in same network., For that any right direction will be helpful. Comments Iam using ------------------------- backup database MyDatabase to disk='D:\Check\MyDtb1.bak' simillarly, restore database MyDatabase from disk='D:\Check\MyDtb1.bak' Thanks for the helps Paramu @ PARANTHAMAN |

You can backup to a UNC path. backup database MyDatabase to disk = '\\yourFileServer\yak\mydatabase.bak' with init Are you having problems with this approach? The svc account will of course need access to that network share. Another approach is to map a drive.Nathan Skerl |
