| hiI am trying to download sql server 12 express onto a Windows 7 computer. I have now got some bits installed under the heading 'microsoft sql server 12'.Available options include:- import export data (32 bit)- configuration toolsbut no actual database!I did try to download an older version e.g. sql server 2010 or even 2008 but every link that started out for those downloads were switched to 2012!What am I doing wrong please?michael |

| If you haven't used SQL before you may want to review SQL documentation or some other instruction first. To view Dbs you open Management Studio once you've connected to a sever. SQL 12 doesn't come with Dbs, other than System and server Dbs, but you can download and attach AdventureWorks 2012 a sample Db from MS. BoL |
