I tried to install SQL Server 2008 windows 7.Half way the installation, the power went down as it over heated. As a result the computer shut down and I had to restart the computer.I looked on menu and sql server parts were installed available on All Programs. Management Studio was not there. This is because the installation was incomplete.I tried to complete the installation but the only option I had was to press setup again which re-starts a whole new installation, this time a named instanced. The second installation commpleted but with Management Basic failed due to side by side installation issue... something not matching (It may be the configuration)Now I am trying to uninstall and some parts were uninstalled but I could not uninstall completely as it said something like, undo the changes first with management basic installation to do my installation or uninstallation.Could someone please give some advice on a good action to correct this fault. Thank you in advance.my email address is tbau@hotmail.co.uk |
