Hi All,
I have sqlserver 2005 and under >All Programs > Microsoft sqlserver 2005 > Configuration Tools i can see only "sql server error and usage reoprts" but i cannot see other options like "sql server surface area configuration" or "sql server configuration manager"??

I need sql server surface area option in order to enable the remote connection!

Any help will be appreciated

seems like installation was not proper. try resintalling client tools once again

Hi Visakh,

Thanks for the reply!
In fact i want to connect to this sqlserver remotly, i have made bcp script to upload a file to database but i'm receiving the error message "Timed out"
Do you have any idea?

is the database accesible from local machine?
