Hi Everyone,

First thanks for reading this !.

At work we have a document management solution that uses...

1. Sharepoint 2007 (http://sharepoint.microsoft.com/en-us/pages/default.aspx)
2. K2 BlackPearl (http://www.k2.com/en/blackpearl.aspx )
3. Sql Server 2005

We are at a point were we need to upgrade all components... but there are a bunch of databases (used by sharepoint and k2) on the sql server 2005.

My question is simple ...

To upgrade a Sql Server 2005 that has running databases what is the best plan ? strait wizard upgrade ?, export/import, attach/detach ?

can anyone give me pointers ? how'to's etc

Thanks in advanced

Assuming K2 and SharePoint don't mind being upgraded (though you could leave the compatibility level at 90) I would just use the wizard (i.e. the installation package). There should be no reason to import/export or attach/detach. Obviously you should back up all the databases first.
