| Hello...I'm not familiar, but I have to modify the existing DTS.(SQL 2000)I'm trying to do "on success" between one connection & "task" (execute SQL task), but it fails . error "defining precedences between the selected items is not valid"But that package has similar work flow. Any idead how to fix this? Thanks |

| Connection to task? Is it a source connection? Needs to be a destination so that the dependancy is on the completion of the task (for the start of the dependancy). My memory of how dts presents in the gui could be wrong tough.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

what are those tasks? Are they part same control flow? or are they in separate flow whose execution is determined by global variable value? In any case we need more details on package to suggest anything------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |
