| I have set up a database mirroring in a production server. When the principal server failover its not getting automatically mirrored to the mirror server. I have checked one of my user database in the properties tab and have given the TCP port perfectly. I have to do a manual failover all the time.Cheers,NM |

| An automatic failover isn't possible without a witness server.Did you set that up ?After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says W T F .... |

I have a snapshot of image captured from server but i'm not able to attach here as am not able to find option where i can see in database properties in mirroring tab where principal, mirror and witness are hard coded with the respective port n server name.Cheers,NM |

| Sachin,I have the snapshot but am unable to attach here as am not able to find upload option of *.jpeg file here in sql team. In the database properties, under mirroring tab i can able to see the values that I have hard coded in Principal, Mirror and Witness servers. I think the mirroring is setup. Any other way to find out why witness is not able to catch up automatically when failovers.Cheers,NM |
