I have limited access to a particular SQL Server 2008. A database has been setup for me and I need to be able to create tables and populate them with data. I'm told my login has been assigned dbo privileges but if I go into SSMS and try to create a table I get a warning - "You are not logged in as the database owner or system administrator - You might not be able to save changes to tables that you do not own. Certain edits require CREATE TABLE permission"If I continue I get a message saying I don't have CREATE TABLE permissions. What's missing here? I'm guessing the permissions aren't set correctly but what exactly do I need (preferably as a script please)?thankssteve-----------Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. |

I'm told my login has been assigned ...Did you tell them what you have posted here? No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |

Hee hee fair enough, I wondered if there was something else that I had overlooked. To be fair the guy who did it is usually very good-----------Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. |

Unless he has revoked rights for db_owner (not even sure if this is possible). |
