Hi

I have a BAT file with 4 calls to different SSIS packages but the thing is the time taken to execute varies so sometimes my manually entered wait time is ran over by the previous package finishing late and the next process call starting:

START DTEXEC.exe /F "mySSIS.dtsx"
IF %ERRORLEVEL% NEQ 0 EXIT /B %ERRORLEVEL%

timeout /t 370

START DTEXEC.exe /F "mySSIS2.dtsx"
IF %ERRORLEVEL% NEQ 0 EXIT /B %ERRORLEVEL%

timeout /t 370

START DTEXEC.exe /F "mySSIS3.dtsx"
IF %ERRORLEVEL% NEQ 0 EXIT /B %ERRORLEVEL%

timeout /t 370

START DTEXEC.exe /F "mySSIS4.dtsx"
IF %ERRORLEVEL% NEQ 0 EXIT /B %ERRORLEVEL%

timeout /t 370

What I really need is something to say from the SSIS to say yes I have finished, the BAT file to read it and then carry on.

Any ideas? I'm quite new to SSIS and cannot find anything that helps me on the net.

Thanks

G

If you would use sql server agent job with 4 steps then you would not have that problem.
The job could be started from bat file like this:
