Dear All,please answer my Question i have lot of confusion in database recovery.suppose i have, full backup of sql server : 08: 00 AMtransaction log : 09:00 AMDifferential : 10:00AMTransaction : 10:30 AMDifferential : 11:00 AMTransaction : 11:15 AMmy database got corrupted at 11:50 AM..how do i retrieve my database, please give me the sequence.thanks & Regards,satya -Satya |

1. First try to get the tail backup of the log if available with No Truncate option.2. Restore the Latest full back up( 8:00 AM) WITH NO RECOVERY3. Restore the latest differential backup( 11:00 AM) WITH NO RECOVERY4. Restore all the Transactional backups taken after the latest differential backup. In this scenario restore the Transactional log backup taken @ 11:15 AM WITH NO RECOVERY5. Restore the Tail backup WITH RECOVERYDone!! |
