| Depends on what you mean. All jobs need system stored procedures to support them - why do you ask?==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

| Is what compulsory? What is your issue/concern.It is compulsory to involve system processes - (stored procedures and other resources) when executing a job.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

| Try using the profiler. There are also a lot involved with running the scheduler itself and clearing up afterwards - you could say that they are needed to run the job too.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

internally its compulsory. But you can either do it progrmatically using system stored procedures like sp_add_job,sp_add_jobstep etcif you dont want to do it programatically, you can even use the wizard available in SQL Server management studio to create job. Internally it calls the same above procedures to create job, steps, schedule etc------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |
