I intend to Create Maintenance Plans --- Reorganize Index and Rebuild Index

When the best time to perform Maintenance Plans --- Reorganize Index and Rebuild Index?

Is that the user is not interace with the database? Or the activity is low?

Need explanation

The best time is when there's little to no activity.

Like Tara said, when low or no activity is taking place is the best time. Usually midnight or after hours, but it depends.

You can also use Perf. Monitor and track server activity. I did that at my new work. Not only allows you to create a baseline for all your servers but you will know exactly what your peak hours are. Set it for 5 days or a week. Perf. Mon files are really small, just a few MB.

Also, check online for nice Defrag job solutions (I think that Tara has one) Those are smart jobs and defrag depending of the fragmentation value and number of pages.
