Hi everyone!I am wondering if anyone knows a way to figure out how to compare performance in a SSIS load in BIDS' debugging mode versus the package running in a job task in SSMS? Of course you can look at the progress tab after the package has been debugged. But if the package takes half a day it would be nice to know the difference in performance prior to the execution.Does anyone have a rule of thumb or perhaps something more accurate?Thank you in advance. :)www.inspari.dk |

you can use custom logging to log times for various tasks (pre and post execute) onto a sql table and analyse it.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |
